Account Manager supervisor

Phoenix, ARIZONA

Join us at Chemical Strategies, Inc.! We are seeking an energetic individual for a full-time position that oversees the Account Management team in procurement and client relations for aerospace or semiconductor clients.

Essential Functions

  • Account Managers are accountable for accurate and prompt processing of customer orders. The process will cover all aspects of order management & fulfillment, including entering the order, working with internal teams (Sales, Inventory, Logistics, Operations), communicating with customers, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Account Managers require expertise to quickly adapt and prioritize customer expectations and needs as appropriate. Service delivery must be personal, genuine, and insightful.
  • Manages customer and /or supplier complaints concerning pricing, billing, or services rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Account Managers require the capacity to be problem-solvers who can work independently and utilize strong listening, speaking, and decision-making skills. These individuals must work in a fast-paced environment and have the confidence to quickly pivot to meet changing demands while providing professional, efficient, and courteous service.
  • Creates bill of ladings, arranges and determines shipping, instructs warehouse on documentation, labeling, and delivery of products, generates and collects COC, COA paperwork, and quality documents if required.

Responsibilities

  • Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Communicates with customers and suppliers by phone, email, and/or proprietary order systems.
  • Receives RFQ and creates quotes, determines markup and pricing, researches and determines supplier and creates purchase orders, creates bill of ladings, arranges and determines shipping, instructs warehouse on documentation labeling and delivery of products, generates and collects COC, COA paperwork and quality documents if required, collects payment and deposits, prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders.
  • Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
  • Manages the order process from cradle to grave.
  • Solicits the sale of new or additional products and services.
  • Manages customer and/or supplier complaints concerning pricing, billing, or services rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
  • Prepares monthly personnel reports to update Executive management.
  • All other assignments and duties are directed by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; limited planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) OR equivalent from a four-year College OR technical school. OR 2+ years of experience in Customer Service, Customer Success, or a similar discipline. OR, 5+ years of relevant professional experience, Chemical Distribution is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce/SAP/NetSuite/Chempax, Excel proficient, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for collaboration.
  • Skilled at handling competing priorities in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous, deadline-driven environment

Currently reside in Arizona and be able to commute daily to our headquarters in Phoenix, AZ.
